John R. Pfister Passes Away After Operation

John Russell Pfister, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Pfister of Lunk, died last Wednesday, September 25, at the Douglas Hospital, after an illness lasting only a short time.

He was taken critically ill only on Tuesday evening, and the following morning was rushed to Douglas, where it was found he had suffered a ruptured appendix, and passed away about 1:30 in the afternoon.

His death was a severe shock to relatives and friends. The remains were brought back to Lusk, and funeral services were held Saturday, September 28, at the Catholic Church, with Rev. Father Hermann of Douglas officiating, with interment being made In the Lusk Cemetery, beside his grand-parents, the Midwest Mortuary being in charge of arrangements.

Deceased was 21 years, 10 months and 23 days old.

At the funeral services, the choir was composed of Mrs. John Cordell, Mrs. H. J. Templeton and George Gibson, with Mrs. J. A. Corman as pianist.

Surviving him are his father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Jane Geiser, and Eva Pfister, and one brother, Henry, besides many other relatives.
