A telephone message was received here from Manville yesterday to the effect that Dr. J. S. Hall was found dead in his place of business at that town. It seems that deceased had not been feeling well for several days and as he was alone at the time it is not known what was the direct cause of his death. Evidently just before dying he wrote a note to his son Alfred saying his heart hurt terribly and he could hardly write, then a long scratch of the pen indicates he tried to write more but expired, as he lay by the note and the pen was found by his side. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Craig in the Lusk Episcopal church this afternoon and his remains laid to rest beside his wife in the city cemetery.
