Lawrence O. Butler Dies at Home Mon.

Lawrence Oscar Butler, resident of Niobrara County for 37 years, died at his home 15 miles southeast of Lusk June 11 at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Peet Mortuary Friday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in the Lusk cemetery with the following as casketbearers: Charlie Canfield, Andy Owens, Ray Walter, Pete Vondra, Floyd Simona and Carl Brown.

Mr. Butler was born in Pennsylvania March 10, 1884, the son of Henry Butler and Phoebe McCurdy Butler. At the time of his death he was 67 years old.

Survivors are his wife, Minnie Butler of Lusk, and a brother, Otto Butler of Niobrara, Nebr.

Services Held for Lawrence Butler

Final rites were conducted from the Peet Chapel Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock for Lawrence Butler, who died suddenly at his home 15 miles southeast of Lusk June 11 at 5:00 p.m. following an illness of three years.

The Rev. Jacob Nein, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, conducted the funeral services. A mixed quartet comprising Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, Miss Justine Watson, Rex Yocum and Donley Unruh, sang, "In the Garden," "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. J. P. Watson provided the organ accompaniment and chapel music.

Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery with the pallbearers including Charlie Canfield, Andy Owens, Ray Walter, Pete Vondra, Floyd Simon and Carl Brown.

Lawrence Oscar Butler, a son of Henry and Phoebe Butler, was born Mar. 10, 1884 in Blairsville, Pa. While still a child he moved with his parents to Nebraska.

For some years he lived in Emerson, Nebr., moving later to Venus, Nebr. In 1914 he moved into the vicinity of Lusk and had resided here until his death. He was engaged in the ranching business.

In 1926 he married Minnie Baars. There were no children born to this union. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie; one brother, Otto of Niobrara, Nebr.; 13 nieces, six nephews.
