Mrs. Batchelder Dies Tuesday
Charlotte N. Batchelder, 56, the wife of George S. Batchelder of Van Tassell, died at the Spencer Hospital January 2, after being in poor health for several years.
Funeral arrangements have been made for 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Peet Chapel in Lusk. The Rev. Frank Schweissing, pastor of the Lusk Baptist Church, will officiate at the services. Burial will be made in the Lusk cemetery.
Charlotte N. Meservey was born November 29, 1894 in Mt. Sterling, Ill., the daughter of Mollie Meats and George Meservey.
Mr. and Mrs. Batchelder had been living in Harrison, Neb., until last May when they moved to Van Tassell. She is survived by her husband, George S. Batchelder of Van Tassell; her son, George S. Batchelder, Jr. of Igloo, South Dakota; and her mother of Deadwood, S. Dak.

FORMER HARRISON WOMAN DIES
Mrs. George Batchelder of Van Tassell died suddenly last Tuesday at a Lusk hospital. She had been ill for some time, but her death came unexpectedly. Mr. and Mrs. Batchelder formerly operated the cafe in Harrison. She leaves her husband and one son, at Igloo, So. Dak.

Last Rites Held for Charlotte Batchelder
Concluding rites were conducted at the Peet chapel Friday afternoon at 2:00 for Mrs. Charlotte Batchelder, 56, who died at the Spencer Hospital Jan. 2.
The Rev. Frank Schweissing officiated at the services. A vocal duet comprising Mrs. Edna DeCastro and Mrs. Frank Schweissing sang, "Does Jesus Care?", "The Touch of His Hand," and "God's Tomorrow." Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery with Rolland Quintard, Vernon Wilson, Mack Crawford, William Henritze, Loyd Fauver, and Leslie Huff acting as pallbearers.
Charlotte N. Batchelder was born Nov. 29, 1894, at Mt. Sterling, Ill., the daughter of Mollie Meats and George Meservey. When she was 9 years old, she moved with her family to Potter County, S. Dak., where she received her early education. She returned to Illinois to receive her high school work. On Dec. 3. 1912, Charlotte Meservey was married at Highmore, S. Dak., to George S. Batchelder. One son, George S. Batchelder, Jr., was born to them.
During the last few years, Mr. and Mrs. Batchelder made their home in Harrison, Nebr., until last May, when they moved to Van Tassell, Wyo.
