Mrs. Addie Shatto Dies in Washington

Funeral services for Mrs. Addie Shatto, 80-year former Lusk resident, were held from the Stark chapel in Douglas in Wednesday, Nov. 7, with interment in the Douglas Park cemetery.

Mrs. Shatto had been in ill health for more than a year and was making her home with a daughter at Vancouver, Wash., where she died Nov. 2.

She was born at Dane, Wis., and with her husband moved to Wyoming in 1890, settling on a homestead in the Pleasant Ridge community northeast of Lusk. The family lived here for 46 years or until 1936 when they moved to Douglas.

Mr. Shatto died in December of last year and since that time Mrs. Shatto has been living in Washington.

Survivors are two sons, Earl Shatto, Sr., and Clarence McDermott of Douglas and three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Evenson and Ruby Shatto of Vancouver and Mrs. Robert Thomas of Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Addie Shatto was the daughter of Francis R Church and Ruth Rood, Canadian immigrants.

She married Charles Harvey McDermott circa 1893. Wyoming.
