Death Takes Mrs. Gerald Wasserburger Suddenly Wednesday
Myrtle Wasserburger, 20, died at the Spencer hospital at 6;40 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning. She was the wife of Gerald Wasserburger of Lusk and was taken ill on last Saturday when she entered the hospital and gave birth prematurely to a baby, which did not live.
She later suffered an attack of gall stones but was in too frail a condition to undergo an operation.
Mrs. Wasserburger is the mother of a ten and a half months old daughter, Connie Sue.
Surviving besides her husband and little daughter, are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Overman, and two sisters, Mrs. Don Schanahan and Miss Betty Overman, all of Lance Creek.
Funeral services for the newly born baby were conducted from St. Leo's Catholic Church Monday morning, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. The baby was given the name of Larry Joseph.
Rosary services will be held at the Peet Chapel on Thursday evening at 7:30 and funeral services will be conducted from St. Leo's Catholic Church at 10:30 Friday morning.

Services for Myrtle Wasserburger Are Held Here Friday
Rosary services for Mrs. Myrtle Grace Wasserburger who died May 11, were conducted at the Peet Chapel on Thursday evening, May 12, at 7:30 by Father Elmer Mulcahy and funeral services were held from St. Leo's Catholic Church on the following Friday forenoon at 10:30. Father Elmer was assisted in the service by Father Beiver of Ardmore, South Dakota.
The choir was composed of George Gibson, Pauline Bruch, Mrs. Carl Bruch, Virginia Owen, Carmen Gibson, Maxine Koch,
Carmen Gibson and Georgeanne Gibson with Mrs. Henry Wasserburger as the accompanist.
The song, "Yes, Heaven Is the Prize." was sung by George Gibson.
Cousins of the deceased carried the remains to the last resting place in the Lusk cemetery. They were Bernard and Ralph Konrath of Chadron, Nebr.; Austin Rush, Torrington; A.C. Hale and Garland Dobson, Lance Creek, and Henry Wasserburger, Jr., Hat Creek.
Myrtle Grace Overman was, born December 9, 1928 at Bruckton, Iowa the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Overman. When a young girl she came to Lance Creek with her parents.
On September 28, 1946 she was married to Gerald A. Wasserburger of Lusk, Wyoming, and they are the parents of a ten and a half months old daughter, Connie.
A baby was born prematurely to Mrs. Wasserburger May 7 and was buried on Monday but was moved to be laid with its mother.
Survivors besides the husband and small daughter are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Overman and sister, Miss Betty of Lance Creek and another sister, Mrs. Pauline Shannahan of Glenrock and her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Wasserburger.
Among the out-of-town friends and relatives here for the services were Mrs. Helen Wasserburger, Miss Florentine Wasserburger, Mr.and Mrs. Gerome Mader and daughter and Father Beiver, all of Ardmore, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Konrath, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Konrath, Ralph Konrath and Joe Konrath and daugher, all of Chadron, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Florian Konrath and daughters of Whitney, Nebr.; Mrs. Floyd Holbert, Mrs. Vern Wilson, Mrs. Kenneth Hoyt and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hansen, Mrs. Elizabeth Jordan, all of Harrison, Nebr., and also several relatives from Iowas and Missouri and a large group of relatives and friends from Lance Creek.
