Strangled Boy Was Nephew of Mrs. Heany
A Fargo, N.D. boy, who was recently strangled when he tied a knot around his neck and slipped from a box, was a nephew of Mrs. Paul Heany of this city.
The boy, Donald Groeneveld, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Groeneveld, was practicing Boy Scout knots in the basement of the home in the evening. When the father went to the basement to watch the boy he found him hanging from the ceiling. It is believed he practiced tying the knot by standing on a box and that it slipped from under him. Efforts to revive him failed. A coroner's jury declared the death accidental.
Mr. and Mrs. Heany went to Fargo to attend the services, returning a week ago Monday.
