Bernard Lavon Bolinger

Bernard Bolinger died May 13, 1998 at the Loma Linda Medical Center in Loma Linda, Calif., following three month long serious illness.

He was born Nov. 25, 1928 in Antioch, Neb. to Benjamin and Grace (Jones) Bolinger and spent many years in western Nebraska working on ranches.

He married Burnice Penfield Butler Nov. 26, 1955 in Norwalk, Calif., where they made their home until 1966. Bernard was employed by the Carnation Milk Company there.

They moved to Lusk in 1968 where he resided until 1987, working for D.C. Drilling Company and Niobrara County road crew. He spent a couple of years in Utah and then moved on to Kingman, Ariz., where he worked on the County of Mohave road crew until June 1997 when he retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers Richard, John and Junior, and sisters Juanita and Grace.

Survivors include Richard and Terry Butler, Lake Havasu City, Ariz; Fred Butler and Deborah Pfister, Fontana, Calif., Hayden Butler, Arlington, Tex. and Rick Bolinger, Douglas, Wyo.; sisters Vivian Allen, Kenley, N.C., Laura Hayes, Bullhead,City, Ariz.; Betty Vandver, Cleveland, Tex. a brother, William Bolinger, Hawaiian Gardens, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

At his request no service was held.
