Mayme S. Brown, 82, of Lusk died Thursday, Jan. 29, 1987 at the Niobrara County Nursing Home.
Services were Monday, Feb. 2 at the Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Burial was at the Crawford, NE Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown was born Nov. 4, 1904 in Crawford, the daughter of Ed and Gena Smith. She married Joe Brown of Missoula, MN and he preceded her in death in 1958. She was a licensed beautician for 50 years and owned her own business in Missoula. She retired in 1971 and moved to Crawford and later to Lusk.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, the Daughter of the Nile and Electra Chapter No. 7, Order of the Eastern Star of Missoula and the Gold Leaf Chapter No. 98, Order of Eastern Star.
She entered the Niobrara County Nursing Home in July 1980.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother, Ernest T. Smith. Survivors include cousins Gemila Stetson of Lusk, Arlene Leggett of Laurel, MN, Velma Bowman of Colfax, IA, Nels Engebretsen of Douglas, Charles Engebretsen of Lost Springs, Patricia Kagie of Scottsdale, AZ and several others.
Memorials may be made to the Niobrara County Nursing Home.
