Mrs. Geo. Nelson Dies, Thermopolis
Mrs. George Nelson, a former resident of Keeline, and well known to many in this community, died at her home in Thermopolis on February 20.

Funeral rites were held Wednesday at 2:00 o'clock for Cora Eleanor Nelson, 66, wife of George M. Nelson, who died Sunday, February 20, following an extended illness. Rev. Erma Taylor of the Community Church conducted the service at Mortimore chapel. Vesper Chapter No 19, 0.E.S., participated with ritualistic burial rites.
Kathleen Russell Burt sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Abide With Me," with Mrs. Max Mortimore as accompanist. Burial was at Monument Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. Byron Peterson, Carl Hansen, M.S. Harris, Frank Milek, E.H. Short and Scotty Sefton.
Cora Eleanor Higley, eldest daughter of William C. Higley and Eleanor Lewis Higley, was born at Coolville, Ohio, June 10, 1882. At the age of 12 she united with the Congregational Church in that city. When she finished high school she entered nurses training at Parkersburg, W. Va., graduating in March, 1905. She followed this profession until her marriage with Carl M. Hahn, October 12, 1910, when they came to a homestead near Keeline in Wyoming, where they built a house on the prairie. She was left a widow by his death in 1928. She leased the ranch and came to Thermopolis, where she continued with her nursing profession until October 1, 1930.
On December 18, 1930, she was united in marriage with George M. Nelson of Hettinger, N. D. After spending three years on the ranch and three years as mangers of the McGannon Inn at State Park, they purchased property in Thermopolis and have made their home here.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of Mariposa Chapter, 0. E. S., at Manville, Wyo., and American Legion Auxiliary, Earl Norris Unit, at Keeline, Wyo., and was an active member of church, clubs and other activities of that community for 33 years.
She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. F. L. Inman of De Land Florida; a half sister, Mrs. W. T. Marquis of West Alexandria, Ohio.
