Mrs. Virginia Crandall, Daughter of Davids, Dies in Denver Sat.

It was learned in Lusk the first of the week that Mrs. Virginia Crandall, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. David of Lusk, died in Denver Saturday, Jan. 4. (Note: This Saturday in 1953 would have been January 3.)

Few details have been learned here as The Herald goes to press, as the family have all been in Denver this week.

According to the Rocky Mountain News, communion srvices were held at 9:45 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with public services at 2:00 p.m. Interment is being made in Scottsbluff, Nebr. on Wednesday.

Besides her parents, surviving are her husband, Frank R. Crandall of Denver, and three sisters of Denver, Irma Palmer, Genevieve and Florence David and another sister, Shirley David, and a brother, Richard David, both of Lusk.

Mrs. Virginia Crandall Laid to Rest in Scottbluff Wednesday

The death of Mrs. Virginia Crandall, age 31, who died at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver Jan. 3, came as a shock to relatives and friends here.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. David, who reside on a ranch north of Hat Creek and the family was living there at the time of her birth, although she was born at Harrison, Nebr. Oct. 21, 1921.

She attended a rural school through the grades, then entered Lusk High. After her graduation from high school she attended the University of Wyoming for one year after which she entered nurses training in Denver, flnlshing this schooling in 1942.

Feb. 2, 1946 she was married at Seattle, Wash., to Frank R. Crandall, who was then in the U.S. Navy and they resided at Bremmerton, Wash., until her husband was sent to school in California. They moved to Denver about two years ago.

Mrs. Crandall was a member of Unity Chapter No. 970, Order of the Eastern Star of Denver, and a member of the Episcopal Church.

Communion services were held at 9:45 am. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Denver Monday with the funeral services being conducted that afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Interment was made in Scottsbluff on Wednesday where graveside services were held.

Survivors besides her husband are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. David of Lusk, four sisters, Irma Palmer, Genevieve and Florence David of Denver, and Shirley David of Lusk, and one brother, Dick David, also of Lusk.

Besides the David family, many friends and relatives attended the services at Scottsbluff. Among them were Mr. and Mrs. George Story, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wasserburger, Mr. and Mrs. John Wasserburger and Mrs. W.W. Edmondson.
