Mrs. J.W. Clark, 67, Dies in Iowa
Mrs. James W. Clark, 67, died at her home in LeClair, Iowa June 5, according to word received by friends in Van Tassel and Lusk.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark homesteaded north of Van Tassel in 1910 and the home that they built among the high chalk bluffs there was purchased a few years ago by Waldo Hoy and moved to south Elm street In Lusk.
Mrs. Clark was an active worker in the Congregational church of Van Tassel until they returned to their old home in LeClair in 1929. Their place now belongs to Harlan Zerbe.
Their daughter Elizabeth Clark was married to Harry Fertig and a granddaughter, Miss Harriet Fertig, was this June one of a group of student nurses capped at St. Luke's hospital with the services taking place at Trinity Cathedral church in DavenPort, Iowa.
Mrs. Clark was born July 28, 1885 in Pontiac, Ill., and was married to James W. Clark July 17, 1908 in Peoria, Ill.
Beside her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Knapp and Mrs. Vivienne Mohr of LeClair and a son, Ralph F. Clark of Wood River, Ill., three sisters and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the LeClair Presbyterian church June 8 with burial in the Glendale cemetery there.
