Myrtilla Ruth Allcorn
Mrs. Allcorn Dies in Washington July 8
Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Thomas (Myrtilla Ruth) Allcorn on July 8, of Walla Walla, Wash. The Allcorn family lived in this community years ago.
Mrs. Allcorn was born Oct. 19, 1883 in Red Oak, Iowa and was married June 6, 1900 in Marsland, Neb., to Thomas Allcorn. They moved to Wyoming and lived north of Lusk in the Divide community for several years. They also lived in Lusk before moving to Washington. Mrs. Allcorn was a member of the White Temple First Baptist Church in Walla Walla.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Verna Hull of Walla Walla and Mrs. Charles LaMonna of Tokyo, Japan; a sister Mrs. John Croft of Walla Walla, four brothers, Robert Stewart of Walla Walla, Henry of Milton-Freewater, Wash., Frank of Riverton and Charles of Brea, Calif., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a sister of the late Edward M. Stewart of Hat Creek.
