Clyde Birch, 61, Keeline area rancher died at the family ranch 17 miles southwest of Lusk, Dec. 2 of a sudden heart attack. Funeral service was held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary Chapel with Aaron C. Frye, branch president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.

Mrs. Judson Watson, organist, accompanied Tim Johnson as he sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages."

Casket bearers were Edwin Tschacher, Neil Grant, Ray Edwards, Richard Ladwig, Dan Gaukel and Don Bone. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Harold Clyde Birch was born January 29, 1915, at Hoytsville, Utah, the son of Robert and Ellen Williams Birch. He married Mary Heine June 4, 1945, at Evanston. Mr. Birch was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad for 20 years before moving to the farm near Keeline in 1955. On moving to the Keeline area he worked for Neil Grant and Anna Jensen, for a few years. Mr. Birch was noted by his friends as being an "All around good neighbor," and was a strong supporter of the county 4-H program. He was a member of the L.D.S. church.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, his parents, two brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his widow Mary; two daughters, Florence Neese of Phoenix, Ariz. and Lois Pickham of Rock Springs, Wyo.; one son David of the family home; four sisters, Jessie Sundquist, Leila Sundquist, Utahna Yriando all of Evanston, and Thora Novak of Tooele, Utah; one brother Cleo Birch of Sandpoint, Idaho.
