Christina Salveson Dies at Lander Mon.
Christina Salvesen, 38, died July 18 at Lander, Wyo. and her remains were brought back to Lusk where funeral services will be conducted from the Peet Chapel on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased is the daughter of Mrs. Mary Salvesen of Lusk and is a native of this community. She had been an invalid for several years, suffering from a severe case of arthritis and been bedfast for about a year. Being unable to care for her in the home any longer she was taken to Lander about three months ago.
Besides her mother, surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Anna Strohecker of Casper, Wyo.; Mrs. Edna Van Sant of Oregon, Mrs. Laura Frasier of Lusk and Mabel Salvesen of the family home.

Last Rites Held For Stena Salvesen
Last rites were conducted for Miss Stena Inga Salvesen Thursday at 2 o'clock p.m. from the Peet Mortuary Chapel.
Rev. Lawrence P. Juell, pastor for the Lusk Congregational Church, officiated at the service for Miss Salvesen, who died on July 18 in Lander after an illness of about four years.
Miss Minette Watson, Miss Justine Watson and Miss Delores DeCastro sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Back of the Clouds." Miss Minette Watson also furnished the organ music.
Pallbearers were Harry Fernau, Nick Kaan, Henry Kaan, R.O. Bump, J.P. Coatlow, and Ralph Olinger.
Stena Inga Salvesen was laid at rest beside her father, the late Chris Salvesen, who was killed in an automobile accident in 1922.
She was born September 5, 1910, on the family homestead near Node, Wyo. Stena died at the Lander training school hospital in that city at the age of 38 years, 10 months, and 13 days. Her mother, Mrs. Mary Saivesen, and her sister, Mrs. Anna Strohecker of Powder River, Wyo., were present at the time of her death.
She spent most of her life in this city at her home with her mother and a sister, Mabel.
Stena is survived by Mrs. Mary Salvesen, her mother, and four sisters, Mrs. Laura Fraiser and Miss Mabel Salvesen of Lusk, Mrs. Anna Strohecker of Powder River and Mrs. Edna Van Sant of Boise, Idaho and several nieces and nephews.

Stena Inga Salvesen Laid At Rest In Lusk Cemetery Thursday
Concluding rites were conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at two o'clock in the chapel of the Peet Mortuary for Miss Stena Inga Salvesen, who had passed away early Monday morning, July 18th, in Lander.
Rev. Lawrence P. Juell, pastor of the Congregational-Christian church of this city, officiated. Miss Minette Watson presided at the organ, and she with her sister, Miss Justine Watson, and Miss Delores DeCastro composed a ladies' trio that sang "Beyond the Sunset," and "Back of the Clouds."
Interment was made in the family plot in the Lusk cemetery with Harry Fernau, Sr., Nick Kaan, Henry Kaan, R.O. Bump, J.P. Costlow and Ralph Olinger acting as pallbearers.
Stena Inga Salvesen was born September 5, 1910, the eldest daughter of Mrs. Mary Salvesen and the late Chris Salvesen on the family homestead near Node, Wyoming. She departed from this life on Monday, July 18, 1949 at the Lander training school hospital at Lander, Wyoming having attained the age of 38 years, 10 months and 13 days. With her at the time of her demise were her mother, Mrs. Mary Salvesen of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Anna Strohecker of Powder River, Wyoming.
The deceased had been in failing health for the past four years, her condition becoming such that on May 24th, she was taken to Lander. Blood poisoning was given by attending physicians, as the cause of her demise.
Most of her life was spent in this city where she made her home with a sister, Mabel. She was preceded in death by her father, Chris Salvesen, who was killed in an automobile accident on September 19, 1922.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary Salvesen, and four sisters, Mrs. Laura Fraiser and Miss Mabel Salvesen, of this city, Mrs. Anna Strohecker of Powder River, Wyo.; and Mrs. Edna Van Sant of Boise, Idaho, and several nieces and nephews.
