Edward J. Peacore
E. J. Peacore, Former Lusk Resident, called Suddenly at Portland
Thon Book No. 9
A letter received from Mrs. Florence Peacore this week from Tracy, Minn., contains the sorrowful news that her husband, Edward J. Peacore, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 27th, at the Vanport hospital in Portland, Oregon following a heart attack. He had been in apparent good health until the morning he was stricken, and death followed within a few hours the letter said. Mr. Peacore was a carpenter and for the past year and a half had been employed in the Portland shipyards.
Funeral services were held at their old home in Payette, Idaho on March 2nd and burial was made at Tracy, Minn., March 11th.
Surviving the deceased are his widow, the former Florence Jasperson, whom he married in 1934, and two children, Edward Joseph, 8 years old, and George Roland, 6. They will make their home for an indefinite time at Tracy, former home of Mrs. Peacore.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Peacore will be remembered by many local residents. He followed his trade as carpenter during residence in this city, and Mrs. Peacore operated a beauty shop. The sincere sympathy of a host of friends here are extended to the bereaved.
