Mrs. C. Bessert Dies; Funeral in Douglas

Funeral service was held January 7 at Douglas for Mrs. Carl (Stashia) Bessert, 76 Lusk. Burial was in the Douglas Cemetery.

Mrs. Bessert died January 4 at the Niobrara Memorial hospital. She was born January 8, 1895 at Antigo, Wis., and in 1921 married Carl Bessert. They lived in various towns in Wyoming, calling Casper home as they lived there for a number of years. May 7, 1957, they moved to Lusk, buying the Uptown Motel.

Mrs. Bessert is survived by her husband, one daughter Mrs. John Clarke, Buffalo; two grandchildren, Mrs. Nadine Gray, Buffalo, and Don Clarke, Alliance, Neb., and two sisters, Miss Nellie Corbett and Mrs. Eva Hankie, Santa Barbara, Calif.
