George E. Dobson
George E. Dobson, 77, of Ten Sleep, Wyo., died July 22, 1990 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper after a short hospitalization.
Dobson was born March 14, 1913 in South Dakota to Charlie Austin and Anna Jane (Kaine) Dobson. On Nov. 12, 1932 he married Ruth Pilz in Casper, Wyo.
Dobson worked for Continental Oil as a gas plant operator in Lance Creek and Salt Creek Fields, also in Sussex and Linch Fields, retiring in 1975 after 35 years of service. Dobson was a member of BPOE in Lusk, Wyo.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth, of the family home; three sons, Steve Dobson, Casper; Dennis Dobson, Lusk; Neil Dobson, Ardmore, Okla.; one daughter, Dorothy Himes, Lusk; three sisters, Tommie Dobson, Redding, Calif.; Oriole Schrader, Cody, and Ruth Bahl, Gurley, Neb.; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister, and one grandchild.
Dobson requested no formal funeral or burial service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Senior Center in Ten Sleep would be appreciated by the family.
