Jake Haberman Funeral Tuesday

Funeral service for Jacob Haberman was held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk, with burial being made in the Lusk cemetery. He died Friday at the Casper hospital following an illness of several years.

The Rev. Charles W. Bruner of Gillette officiated at the service. Organist Mrs. Ruth Hahn accompanied Susan Hahn, Debbie Akers, Kathy Doctor and Robert Doctor as they sang "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and "For All the Saints Who From Their Labors Rest."

Casket bearers were Walter Kant, Robert Sides, Dave Armstrong, Lyle Reckling, Bill Blackburn and Joe Galovich. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.

He was born December 9, 1911, in Lincoln, Neb., and was educated in the Lost Springs school. He married Florence Hinrichsen at Harrison, Neb., February 23, 1935. He was an employee of the Continental Oil Company for 40 years retiring in 1974. The family had made Lance Creek their home during most of this time before they moved to Casper at 149 South Colorado Street.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; his mother, Molly Haberman of Bakersfield, Calif., four sisters and five brothers. A son Donald preceded him in death in 1955.
