Elma Violet Clark, 88, formerly of Buffalo, died July 28, 1996, at the Niobrara County Nursing Home in Lusk. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 2, 1996, at 2 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with the Rev. Paul Vercio officiating.
Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery also in Buffalo. There will be a public visitation from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday. Memorials are to the Kaycee Ambulance Fund or the Kaycee Fire Department in care of Adams Funeral Home.
She and her twin sister, Velma Viola, were born Jan. 27, 1908, in Kaycee to David and Anna Streeter. She attended Johnson County High School and was married in 1927 in Buffalo to Brookie Turk. They made their home in the Kaycee area, where they worked on ranches.
She was married in the mid 1940s to Frank Clark and they made their home in Buffalo. They moved to Sheridan, where he died in January of 1975. She became a resident of the Niobrara County Nursing Home in Lusk in 1984, where she lived until the time of her death.
Survivors include daughters Vivian Long of Sussex, Martha Clark of Denver, Colo., and Sandra Streeter of Casper; sons Raleigh Turk of Silver City, N.M., and Leslie C. Clark of Buffalo; sister Naomi Meike of Sussex; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and infant son, David Harvey; seven brothers; and two sisters.
