Travis Lee Ballinger, 26, of Scottsbluff, Neb. died March 7, 2007 in rural Mitchell, Neb. Funeral services were March 12 at Grace Chapel in Scottsbluff, Neb. with Pastor Bruce Peterson officiating, interment followed at Fairview Cemetery. Travis was born Jan. 3, 1981 in Scottsbluff, Neb. to Gary Lee and Julie Ann (Howell) Ballinger. Travis attended Geil Elementary in Gering, Neb.; Roosevelt, Neb.; Bluffs Middle School and was graduate from Scottsbluff High School in 1999. He worked for several businesses including; Scotts Bluff Country Club, Corral West Ranch Wear, Wheeler's, Wal Mart, CenCon and currently at Midwest Farm Services.
Travis loved to fish, hunt by guns and bows, Black powder shooting and an avid outdoorsman. He made friends with everyone. His laugh was contagious. When he smiled it made others feel good and made them smile along with him.
He is survived by his parents of Scottsbluff, Neb.; brother: Troy & Kaylin Ballinger, Scottsbluff, Neb.; sister: Tracy Ballinger of Douglas; fiancé Amberly Cannon, Scottsbluff, Neb.; grandparents: Delores Sauer of Scottsbluff, Neb. and Gayle and Darnell Howell of Gering, Neb.; aunts and uncles: Rita Rico, Scottsbluff, Neb.; Jim and Deb Engler; Steve and Karen Ballinger; Pat and Danny Deines; Jerry Ballinger, all of Gering, Neb.; Janet Howell, Rapid City, SD; Jeane Warfield, Alliance, Neb.; Jim and Mary Howell, Everett, Wash.; Jody and Andy Augustyn, Loup City, Neb.; and Jeff and Caroline Howell, Oklahoma City, Okla.
