Emmett Belcher
A service was to be held in Casper at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for Emmett Belcher, a former Lusk resident.
Mr. Belcher, 55, died Sunday at Natrona County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Belcher, who was married to Joy Osborn in Lusk in 1950, had worked as a carpenter here.
In 1952, the couple moved to Casper, where Mr. Belcher worked as an operator at the Amoco refinery until the time of his death.
A native of Peel, Wash., Mr. Belcher was a Navy veteran of World War II and after his discharge in 1945 entered the logging business in Oregon.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Belcher is survived by a son, James Lue Belcher of Casper; two daughters, Jo Lorraine Dolan of Riverton and Jill Rene Belcher of Casper; his mother, Mary Belcher of Elmira, Ore.; and two sisters Louise Brown of Elmira and Ila Easton of Springfield, Ore.
The Rev. Dwayne Axworthy was to officiate at the service at Bustard's Funeral Home.
The family would appreciate donations to the Blue Envelope Health Fund.
