Evan Joseph Worley
Evan Joseph Worley was born Oct. 20, 1913, in the living quarters above the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad Depot in Ainsworth, Neb., and died April 22, 1990 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. His parents were Oscar and Essie Worley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26 in the Peet Mortuary Chapel, with burial in the Lusk Cemetery. The Rev. Marilyn Engstrom will officiate.
Evan and Frances Henry were married June 29, 1948 in Scottsbluff, Neb. They lived in Harrison and Chadron, Neb., Lusk, Wyo., and Redwood City, Calif., where Evan taught and coached for many years. In 1975, they retired and returned to Lusk. Evan spent a very active retirement and was involved with the athletic programs at Niobrara County High School and on the golf courses in the area. Evan was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Suzanne Price and son-in-law Richard Price of Lusk, one brother Loren Worley and wife, Geri, of Lake Wildwood, Calif., three grandsons, Timothy Price, Cheyenne, Richard Price, Palm Springs, Calif., and Thomas Price, Casper and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials to the Niobrara Senior Citizens Center will be appreciated by the family.
