Services for Annie E. Williams, 95, of Torrington were conducted today, Wednesday, Dec. 5, 1990, at 9 a.m. by Pastor Gary Flom at the Eastside Church of Christ.
Williams died at Goshen County Memorial Nursing Home in Torrington Dec. 1, 1990. Born July 16, 1895, at Bridgeport, Neb., she was the daughter of Michael and Sarah (Tunnison) Elsass. She grew up and was educated at country schools near Bridgeport.
On Feb. 5, 1913, she married Harvey C. Williams at Bridgeport and they lived on a homestead northwest of Broadwater, Neb. They later moved to a farm east of Greeley, Colo., at Kersey, and in 1940 they farmed north and east of Lingle, on Rawhide Creek. In 1963, they retired and moved to Lingle and then in 1972 they moved to Torrington.
Williams had been a resident of Goshen County Memorial Nursing Home since 1986. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Torrington.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, two sisters and four brothers.
Survivors include her husband of Torrington; two sons, Clarence Williams of Torrington and Glenn Williams of Mesquite, Nev.; three daughters, Velma Stratman of Casper; Violet Hansen of Morrill, Neb.; and Patty Pratt of Lusk; one sister, Angie Weaver of Kalispell, Mont.; 20 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the Goshen County Memorial Nursing Home.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Lingle.
