Dorothy Anne Ettl, 63, of Yuba City, Calif. Died Jan. 13 2007, at her residence. Born in Marysville, she was a longtime Yuba-Sutter resident.
She worked as a home economist at the University of Wyoming in Lusk; taught home economics at Chico State University; and was a clothing specialist for Washington State University in Pullman, Wash.
She attended Winship Elementary School, Sutter Union High School and the University of California-Davis, earning a bachelor's degree. In addition, she received a masters degree from Texas Technology College in Lubbock and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota in St. Paul.
Her memberships included Sutter County Historical Society, also volunteering at the Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County, the American Association of University Women, California Retired Teachers Association and the Friday Night Dinner Group.
Survivors include three brothers, Tony Ettl and James Ettl of Yuba City and Bob Ettl of Meridian; and a sister, Sarah Pryor of Sutter.
She was preceded in death by a brother Bill Ettl; and a sister, Fran Day.
