Nellie Wilkison

Funeral Services for Nellie Wilkison, age 83, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Bader Funeral Home in Lusk with Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Burial will follow in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilkison died Friday, January 7, at the Life Care Center in Casper, Wyo.

She was born October 13, 1910, in Harrison, Neb., the daughter of John O. and Caroline (Geike) Burke. She was raised and attended school in the Whitman, Wyo. community. She graduated from Lusk High School. She then taught one year at the Larsen School.

Nellie was married to Glenn Baker in 1930. They moved to Powell, Wyo., where she resided for a few years. She returned to Lusk in 1941 and went to work at the Ranger Hotel.

In June of 1973 she married Harold Wilkison and they moved to Brush, Colo. After her husband's death in 1983, she returned to Lusk where she resided until the time of her death.

She is survived by three sons, William E. of Garden Grove, Cal., Harold I. of Casper, Wyo. and Lloyd E. of Yorba Linda, Cal.; three brothers, John H. of Lusk, Wyo., Melvin E. of Bloomington, Calif., Donald R. of Casper, Wyo.; two sisters, Edna Freeland of Rye, Colo. and Mamie Klitzke of Kenosha, Wis.; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, one brother and one grandchild.

Memorials to the Lusk Senior Center will be appreciated by the family.
