Sidney Baughman Dies Saturday

Funeral service for Sidney Lee Baughman, 25, was being held this Wednesday at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. He died August 12 in Denver at the Veterans Hospital where he had been hospitalized since June.

The Rev. Vince McFarland of the Open Bible Church is conducting the service at the chapel. Mrs. A. F. DeCastro, organist, accompanied Mrs. Alex Miller, soloist, who is singing "Amazing Grace", "Further Along" and "How Great Thou Art".

Casket bearers are Bernie Schnorenberg, Dick Weymouth, Jerry Weymouth, Larry Zimmerman, Jim Zimmerman, Randy Pollard, Denny Dobson, Fred St. John and Billy St. John.

Burial is in the Lusk Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Lance Creek VFW Post 7567.

Sidney Lee Baughman, son of Floyd and Lois Baughman, was born October 13, 1946, at Lusk. He received his education in the Lusk schools and later was employed in the oil fields near Lusk.

He was inducted into the US Army September 7, 1969, and after receiving his basic training served in Vietnam until he was discharged February 18, 1971, as specialist fourth class.

He was married to Jane Cole October 26, 1969, at Worland. He continued to work in the oil fields until he was hospitalized in June. He was affiliated with the Open Bible Church.

He is survived by a daughter Tammy, 2, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Baughman of Lusk, a brother, Clyde LeRoy Baughman of Lusk, a half-sister, Mrs. Dewey (Mary) Ellsworth, grandfathers, Sidney Shockley, Hudson, and Wesley George of South Gate, Calif, and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Artie Shaw, Tulsa, Okla.
