M. Dorothy Walsh

Margaret Dorothy Walsh, 84, died Sunday March 14 at her home in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

Mrs. Walsh was born May 5, 1914 in Lost Springs, Wyoming, daughter of George W. and Margaret Ann (Anders) Wright. She attended local schools, graduating from Manville High School with the class of 1932.

In December of 1932, she was married to Edward Hales in Rapid City, S. Dakota. They made their home in the Lost Springs community where he died in 1938. In October 1939, she was married to C. Maurice Walsh, and they lived in Niobrara and Converse Counties, Wyoming. Mrs. Walsh moved from Wyoming to Fort Morgan, Colo. in 1969. She worked there for several area firms, including the Elks Lodge, the Fort Morgan Country Club and as a desk clerk at the Old Fort Motel and Restaurant until her retirement in 1984.

She is survived by three daughters; Thelma Hanson of LaCrosse, Wash.; Wilma Santoyo of Battle Mountain, Nev., and Wyoma Dalrymple of Loveland, Colo.; a son Melvin Walsh of Burbank, Wash., and a brother, Wilbur Wright, Lost Springs, Wyo. There are 21 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Miller; a son, Richard Walsh; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Memorial services were held Saturday, March 20 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Morgan with the Reverend Paul Livingston officiating. Inurnment was held at Jireh, Wyo. on Monday March 22.

Memorials may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society.
