Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7, at the Shriner Funeral Home in Rawlins for former Lance Creek resident Mrs. Harold (Elva) Waddell, 64. The Rev. Elmer Zamrow officiated.
Mrs. Waddell died at the hospital in Rawlins April 4 after an illness of several months.
She was born January 25, 1915, at Bridgeport, Ill., and was married to Harold Waddell on January 10, 1942, at St. Charles, Missouri. The couple came to Lance Creek in 1945 to make their home where Harold was in charge of communications for the Continental Pipe Line Company. They were the parents of two children, daughter Michele of Casper and a son, Tim who is a senior at the University of Wyoming. The Waddells were transferred to Rawlins in 1969 by the pipeline and Harold worked in the field at Sinclair until his retirement last year.
Mrs. Waddell served on the election board committee for several years while at Lance Creek.
In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Helen Burell of Lawrenceville, Ill., and Mary Lou Forbes of Bridgeport, Ill.
