Funeral services for Hattie Vondra, 94, were Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at Bader Funeral Home in Lusk with the Rev. Helen Oates officiating. Burial was in the Jay Em cemetery. Memorials are to the Niobrara County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Vondra died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1996, at the Niobrara County Nursing Home in Lusk. She was born July 19, 1902, in Ainsworth, Neb. to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel McCurdy. She graduated from high school in Torrington. She married Joseph (Chuck) Vondra March 29, 1921. He died March 24, 1955. She was a member of the Congregational Church of Lusk, Homemakers Club of Jay Em, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Lance Creek and Manville, Rebecca Lodge No. 12, Royal Neighbors from 1936-1986 and the American War Mothers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons Joe and Verne, and one brother.
Survivors include daughters, Ardale Coffee of Harrison, Neb., Verona Haskins of Torrington, and Mary Ann Sides of Manville; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Bader Funeral Home of Lusk was in charge of arrangements.
