Linda J. Wing, of Glendive, Mont., passed away Jan. 28, 2007 following a short illness. She was born March 31, 1950, in Lusk.

She is survived by her husband Floyd and their three children, Renee McKean and Ginny Marsh, both of Redding, Calif., and Tom Wing of Missoula, Mont. Also surviving are her mother, Dorothy Neary of Kirby and her father Nat Slagter, Jr. of Glenrock, as well as sisters Marie Moe and Liz Torno and brother Ben Slagter, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts to the American Heart Association, 2812 1st Ave. North, Room 216 in Billings, MT, 59101.

Linda J. Wing, age 56, of Glendive passed away on January 28, 2007, following a short illness.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 3, 2007 in the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with Pastor Avis Anderson officiating.

Linda was born on March 31, 1950 in Lusk, Wyoming, the daughter of Nat A. Jr. and Dorothy (Brown) Slagter. She was raised and educated in Baker, Montana. She married Floyd Wing on April 25, 1968 in Glendive. Linda and her husband traveled extensively while her husband was in the military until 1981 when they settled in Glendive where she resided until the time of her death.

Linda loved cooking, painting ceramics, doing puzzles and playing games of all kinds.

Linda was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother. She was known for her compassion.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd, of Glendive; three children, Renee McKean and her husband Bill and Ginny Marsh and her husband Cory, all of Redding, California; her son, Tom Wing of Missoula; her mother, Dorothy Neary and her husband Gerald of Kirby, Wyoming; her father, Nat Slagter Jr. and his wife Mary of Glenrock, Wyoming; sisters, Marie Moe of Green River, Wyoming and Liz Torno and her husband Bryan of Billings; brother, Ben Slagter and his wife Monty Lou of Baker, Montana; grandchildren, Brian Marsh, Andrea Marsh, Misty Payne-McKean, Rochelle Payne-McKean, Bradley Payne-McKean, Michael Reed, Chris Marsh, Misty Marsh; one great grandchild, Matthew Marsh; numerous nieces and nephews.
