Vance Tripp Dies Here Saturday
Vance Tripp, 69, resident of Niobrara County for the past 48 years died at Niobrara Memorial Hospital Saturday of cancer.
Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel with the Rev. Frank Bozart of the Open Bible Church officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was the organist and Mrs. Emerson Boner and Miss Neoma Taylor sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset".
Pallbearers were: Ed Plumb, Robert Taylor, James Russell, Ray Jenkins, Reuben Johnson and William Hoblit.
Vance Harold Tripp was born June 10, 1895 at Dow City, Iowa the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Tripp. He came to Niobrara County in 1916 and for many years made his home with Mrs. Pat Vaughan and the late Mr. Vaughan. He was a barber by trade but had retired several years ago.
