Margaret Armstrong Towler
Sister of local Women dies here
Miss Margaret Armstrong Towler (74), lifelong resident of Minneapolis, died January 5 at Niobrara County Hospital. She was in Lusk visiting at the homes of her sisters, Mrs. Gerald D. Bardo and Mrs. Dale M. Bardo.
A family memorial service was held here at Peet Mortuary Sunday afternoon, and this Wednesday the funeral service was being held in Minneapolis at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church, with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Miss Towler had visited in Lusk several times through the years. She was actively involved in church work and civic organizations in Minnesota serving as treasurer of the Daughters of the American Revolution State Officers Club, a past president of the John Prescott DAR Chapter and Woman's Club of Richfield, and past state treasurer of the Minnesota DAR.
She attended the University of Minnesota specializing in bookkeeping and clerical work, and was a long-time employee of the Federal Land Bank in St. Paul.
John E. Towler, a brother, lives in Redwood Falls, Minn.
