Tessie Leona Townsend
Tessie Leona Townsend, age 74, died Sept. 28 at the Life Care Center. Cremation has taken place.
Tessie was born Sept. 23, 1930 in Scottsbluff, Nebr., to Stanley M. and Phebe M. (Roberts) Fraser. She was raised in Manville and Lusk. Tessie married Earle Townsend of Dec. 25, 1947 in Newcastle. She worked at the Blue Bird Grocery then at Bi Rite Drug Store for several years before moving to California, Arizona and returning to Casper in 1994. For the past two years she was a resident of Life Care Center of Casper and loved and cherished everyone that cared for her there.
Survivors include two daughters Randisue Davis of Casper and Wanda Reece of Las Vegas, Nev.; one son Stan Townsend of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters Anna May Oliver of Lusk and Myrna Gabol of Tucumcari, N.M.; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Her parents, two brothers Floyd and Phil Fraser, and one sister Phebe Moran preceded her in death.
Memorials may be sent to First Christian Church or Life Care Center.
