Funeral service For Mrs. Tipton Held Monday

Funeral service for Lula (Rogers) Tipton was held Monday afternoon at the United Methodist Memorial Church with Pastor Wayne Teiszen officiating.

Vocal selections were sung by Mrs. Dorothy Todd, Mrs. Pat Skavdahl and Mrs. Marj King accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Hall.

Casket bearers were Bud From, Art From, Ernest Pullen, Albert Rabe, Everett Thomas, Ronald Grote.

Lula Rogers Tipton was born in Red Oak, Iowa March 17, 1898. From her early girlhood until she was grown she made her home with the Sam Seaman Family. Mrs. Seaman was a cousin.

On October 30, 1921 she married Seth Tipton at the home ranch northwest of Harrison where they resided until 1969 when they moved to Crawford to live in a rest home. After Mr. Tipton's death Mrs. Tipton was transferred to the Ponderosa Villa where she lived until her death August 22.

Mr. and Mrs. Tipton had two children, a boy and a girl who both died in infancy.

Survivors include a sister Helen Jobe, Lubbock, Texas, a brother Everett Rogers, Texas and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
