Funeral services for L. D. Thrush, 86, of Lusk, were held Aug. 18, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Orland, Ind.
He died Aug. 11, 2003, at Casper.
He was born June 16, 1917, in Steuben County, Ind., the son of Leroy and Edith (Wyatt) Thrush; he was raised and educated in Steuben County.
He was in the CCC in the 1930s, and served in the military during World War II, where he was a medic.
On Aug. 31, 1940, he married Charlette McClish in Pleasant Lake, Ind.
His interests included spending time with family, hunting, fishing, gun collecting and antiques.
He was a member of the American Legion and Masons.
L. D. and his wife Charlette would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on Aug. 31. They lived in Orland, Ind., for over 50 years and moved to Lusk in 2001 to be near their children.
Survivors include his wife Charlette Thrush of Lusk; daughter Sandra Jacob and her husband Jerry; two granddaughters, Julie Gustafson and her husband John, and Josette Dreesen and her husband Sean; three great-grandchildren, Sarah and Andrea Gustafson, and Harlie Jo Dreesen; and one sister, Gertrude Willm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Opal Willms, Mary Jane Malchi, and Paul Thrush.
