Memorial services for Casper resident Harold Lee Baker, 66, were conducted Sept. 22 at Bustard's Funeral Home by the Rev. Bryan Badger of First Christian Church. Cremation has taken place.
He died Sept. 17, 1999, at Poplar Living Center.
He was born June 18, 1933, in Whitman, the son of Glenn and Nellie (Burke) Baker
He was raised and educated in Lusk, graduating from Lusk High School in 1951. He then enlisted in the Army, serving in Korea.
In 1961, he started work as a heavy equipment operator and continued until his retirement until 1996.
In 1972, he married Nancy Roper Grieve at First Christian Church in Casper.
He was a member of the American Legion, Powder River Post and the Operating Engineers Union in Casper. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved sports.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Glenn Grieve of Casper; two brothers, Lloyd of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Bill of Garden Grove, Calif.; two sisters, Sue Denny of Wrenshaw, Minn. and Peggy Strut of Minnesota; two grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
