R. J. "Bob" Stigile

R. J. "Bob" Stigile, 86, of Star, died Saturday, January 14, 1995, in a Boise hospital of natural causes. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 18, at the Chapel of the Chimes, Meridian. Paul Loree will officiate. Burial followed in the Star Cemetery.

Bob was born October 24, 1908, at Hemingford, Nebraska, a son of Edwin and Sarah Hughes Stigile. He married Velma Shoopman on January 15, 1930, at Alliance, Nebraska. He worked in Nampa for many years as a meatcutter for Rondavoo Market. He had been retired for 20 years, and enjoyed his hobby - woodworking in his woodshop.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Mike Hall, and Sarah and Shannon Darrah, all of Nampa; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Orvene Stigile of Meridian, and Bob and Laura Stigile of Payette; a brother, Bill Stigile of Hazelton; two sisters, Rae Craig of Tyler, Texas, and Helen Blackmore of Garland, Texas and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1968; his parents; stepmother; a sister; a stepsister; and a grandson.
