Ruth M. Snow

Memorial services for Ruth M. Snow, age 70, were held Monday, July 24, 1995, at Bader Funeral Home with Rev. Del Cowley officiating. Burial of Cremains will follow in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Snow died Friday morning, July 21, 1995, at the Niobrara Memorial Nursing Home in Lusk. She was born April 6, 1925, the daughter of David and Grace Wilson, in Douglas. The family lived in Douglas until Ruth was 12 and the family moved to Lusk. She graduated from Lusk High School in 1943.

She married Hubert A. Snow on March 22, 1944, in Sidney, Neb. They moved to California in 1944. They lived in Oakland until they moved to Fremont, Cal. where they were involved in the landscaping business. Ruth then went back to work in accounting and worked at this the biggest share of her life. She later moved to Evanston, where she worked as a Physical Technician for 15 years. Upon retirement, she moved back to Lusk.

She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church, various Shrine organizations, and did volunteer work with various organizations, such as the Red Cross, the Cub Scouts, the American Heart Association, the Library, the Chamber of Commerce and the Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her father, her husband and one son.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas David Snow and family of Hayward, Cal. and Leroy Alvin Snow of Gering, Neb.; one daughter, Gail Diane Roland of Tennessee; four sisters, Grace Ellen Powers of Yankton, S.D., Lorraine Wasserburger of Lusk, Davenne Glandt of Cheyenne and Louise Hasson of Oregon; her mother, Grace Wilson of Lusk, and two grandchildren.

For those who wish, memorials to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated by the family.
