Private family services will be held later for Nevada Holifield Smith 81, of Sheridan, Wyo.
Nevada Smith died June 22, 2003, at Sheridan Manor.
She was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Bevinsville, Ky. the daughter of Maryland and Elizabeth (Cooke) Osborn.
She grew up and attended schools in Kentucky. She moved to Ogden, Utah, where she worked in the Army hospital.
She married Marshall F. Holifield on Feb.10, 1944, in Ogden. They moved to Lance Creek, Wyo., where they raised cattle and sheep. Mr. Holifield died in 1964.
In December 1965 she married Doyle Blackmore. She moved to Lusk and worked as a housekeeper, then moved to Greeley, Colo. in 1970.
She married Bernard Smith in 1972 in Farmington, N.M. She returned to Colorado in 1982 and moved to Sheridan in 1993.
She loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, needlework, tatting, crocheting, sewing and helping other people.
She is survived by a son, Holly Holifield of Sheridan; a daughter, Jill Andre of Greeley; a brother Joseph Osborne of Bevinsville, Ky. and seven grandchildren.
