Death Takes Mrs. Clarence Sides

Mrs. Clarence Sides, 64, died Sunday at the Spencer Hospital of cancer. She had been seriously ill for the past few months

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Peet Chapel with the Rev. James Davis of the First Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Emmerson Boner and Mrs. Lyle Eddy accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson sang, "Beyond The Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Pallbearers were: Harry Sides, Scott Sides, Stewart Sides, Ray Sides, Richard Updike and Tom McCullough.

Verda Barbara Walter was born February 8, 1900, the daughter of Albert and Frances Walter, near Ottumwa, Ill. The family moved to Indiana where she began her schooling. Later another move was made to Redwood Falls, Minn. where she completed her education. In 1918 the family came to Wyoming.

In 1923 she and Clarence M. Sides were married. They purchased a ranch northeast of Lusk where she spent the remainder of her life. A little over a year ago cancer was detected. She had surgery and X-Ray treatments. For the past several months she has been very ill and has spent much time in hospitals in Lusk and Scottsbluff.

She is survived by her husband; Clarence, one daughter, Beverly Rasmussen of Sioux City, Iowa; two sons, Ralph and Douglas of Lusk; four grandchildren, Vicky, Monty, Sheila and Ken Sides; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Updike of Osage and Miss Emma Walters of Node.

Dak.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Whitmire, Miss Linda Hutson and Mrs. Carrie Hitchcock of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Ruby Sides and Mrs. Robert Gay of Glasgow, Mont., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hopper and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Walker of Harrison, Mrs. Idabelle Beebe of Casper, George Story and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kemp of Fort Collins, Colo. and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Provost of Moorcroft.
