Funeral services for Stewart Grant Sides, who died Saturday, were conducted from the chapel of the Peet Mortuary on January 17. Rev. Clyde Hampton had charge of the services. Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.

Stewart Grant Sides, son of Joseph and Cornelia Sides, was born February 21, 1876 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. In 1885 he came west with the family, locating in Dawes County Nebraska. He attended the public school, Methodist Church and Sunday School at Whitney, Neb., and grew to manhood in that vicinity. In 1897 he came to Wyoming and has made his home in and around the vicinity of Kirtley since that time.

On November 23, 1898, he was united in marriage to Ruby Grant in Crawford, Neb. To this union eleven children were born. One son, Ralph William, preceded him in death in 1924.

About six years ago Mr. Sides became afflicted with a chronic ailment which kept him from his usual activities and confined him to his home a great deal of the time. During these years of confinement he found many comforting hours listening to sermons over the radio.

On January 6 he became seriously ill with gangrene of the foot and was brought to a hospital in Lusk, where they made every effort to relieve his suffering. He passed away at 12:30 p.m. on January 15 at the age of 67 years 10 months and 25 days. He is survived by his wife Ruby and ten children: Earl of Lance Creek, Clarence of Lusk, Mrs. Hazel McCullough of Manville, Ray of Smithweick, S.D., Scott and Stewart of Lance Creek, Mrs. Mabel Hardman, Mrs. Esther Groves, Harry and Ida Mae of Lusk and twenty grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Frank and Scott of Chadron, Neb. and Lawrence of Pine Ridge, S.D., and four sisters, Mrs. Cora McLaughlin of LaTrobe, Pa., Mrs. May Grant of Crawford, Neb., Mrs. Pearl George of Alliance, Neb., and Mrs. Carrie Scott of Casper, Wyo.
