Last Rites for Mrs. Wilna Sides

Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart (Wilna) Sides of Lance Creek, who died at Natrona Memorial Hospital in Casper, July 2, were held last Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel in Lusk. Graveside services were held at 4:00 p.m. at Greenwood cemetery in Chadron with burial there.

Mrs. Sides was born March 28, 1920, at Lebanon, Mo., to Ralph and Mercey Jones. When she was six the family moved to Wayside, Nebr. She received her high school and normal education at Chadron.

She was married to Kenneth E. Grant January 6, 1940, at Harrison. They were the parents of two daughters. They lived and worked in Lance Creek until December 1941. They moved to a ranch north of Whitney, Nebr., where they lived until October 1953. They moved to Chadron and she lived there until 1958. Mr. Grant died in 1957.

She married Stewart Sides October 6, 1958, at Cheyenne and lived on a ranch north of Lance Creek until the time of her death.

She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge at Chadron and an associate member at Lance Creek. She also belonged to the Royal Neighbors.

Survivors include her widower, Stewart; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Bernice) Lowe of Boulder, Colo.; Mrs. Patrick (Beverly) Miller of Lance Creek; three grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Floyd (Donna Kay) Tschacher of Fort Bragg, N.C.; a stepson Clayton Sides of Dubois, Wyo.; 5 step grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mercey Clauson of Chadron; two brothers, Buster Moore, Hot Springs; Chappel Moore, Sidney, Nebr.; one sister Mercedes Henian, Omaha.

Casket bearers were Joe Vaughan, Richard Kane, Gene Perry, Sven Johnson, Harold Reid and John Larson.

Dak.; Mr. and Mrs. John Larson, Chadron; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rasmussen, Boulder City, Nev.; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Parmely, Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Drinkwater, Dewey, S. Dak., Mrs. Lucille Blundell, Mrs. Cora Muhm, Mrs. Edna Thomas, Mrs. Katie Hood, Mrs. Phyllis Wagner, all of Chadron; Mr. and Mrs. Gene Calhoun, Cheyenne; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Sides, Dubois and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tschacher of Fort Bragg, N.C.
