Dan Showalter, 14, Dies March 3
Dan Douglas Showalter, 14, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Showalter of Dayton, Wyo., and formerly of Lusk, died March 3 at the DePaul Hospital in Cheyenne. Funeral services were conducted last Thursday at Dayton.
Dan had been ill for several months. He was born February 21, 1955, in Lincoln, Nebr. The family moved to Lusk in 1963 and to Dayton two years ago. He was a student at Tongue River School.
Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Clint of Dayton; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Hamilton of Sheridan and Ann and Jan Showalter of Dayton; a paternal grandmother, Mrs. H. R. Showalter of Lincoln and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Garret DeBoer of Oral, S. Dak.
Friends of the family have started a fund to help take care of expenses connected with medical care of the youth. Donations may be sent to the Congregational Church in Dayton or the Presbyterian Church at Sheridan.
