Effie I. Senters
Graveside services for Effie I. Senters, 86, were held June 23, 1988 at the Lusk Cemetery. She died June 10, at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk.
She was born September 5, 1901 to George and Clara Lorenzen. The family homesteaded on a small ranch north of Lusk and moved into town when her father died. She was educated in the Lusk schools and married Victor B. Senters of Lusk on December 26, 1936 in Fort Morgan, CO.
Over the years she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company and at one time was the chief operator in the Lusk office. She also helped her husband operate Vic's Drive-In Cafe for several years.
Upon retirement they spent the winters in Casper and came home to Lusk in the summers. Her husband died in 1982.
She was a member of the Open Bible Church, Order of Eastern Star, the Divide Tumbleweed Club and the Lusk Does.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Memorials to the Niobrara County Memorial Nursing Home would be appreciated.
