Graveside Services For Edwin Scott Are Held in Lusk Tuesday

Graveside funeral services were held in Lusk Tuesday, April 23 for Edwin David Scott, 68, of Portland, Ore. who died April 5. Services were held there Thursday, April 11, followed by cremation and the ashes were shipped to Lusk to be buried by his mother and sister. Mr. Scott had been completely paralyzed since September, following three strokes.

The Rev. Frank Bozart of the Open Bible Standard Church officiated at the 2:30 services.

Edwin David Scott was born in Franklinville, New York, January 13, 1895, the son of Edwin David Scott and Janie Armstrong. When 15 he came to Wyoming to work for his uncle, the late Andrew Scott of Hat Creek; he also lived in Southeast Kansas for a short time and here met and married Annie Hardie July 29, 1914, they were the parents of one son, Robert of Hat Creek.

Mr. Scott and family lived in Chadron for a short time before taking a homestead at Hat Creek in 1917, where he lived until 1927. He was a fireman on the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for several years in Nebraska and Wyoming.

In the early 1930s he moved to Oregon and has lived in Portland the past 17 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, a sister, Elizabeth Scott Snider, a half brother, Gerald Scott, one granddaughter, Arlene Scott. He is survived by his son, Robert, three grandsons, Richard, Robert and Roger and one half sister, Mrs. Rae Scott Jensen of Elk, Wash.
