Mrs. Amos Scott Dies Last Rites Held On Saturday, Sept. 2nd
Funeral services were held at the Ft. Laramie Presbyterian Church Saturday, Sept. 2, for Mrs. Amos W. Scott, 75 year old Ft. Laramie resident who died Wednesday, Aug. 30 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
Burial was in the Ft. Laramie cemetery.
Etta Pearl Haynes was born Nov. 25, 1891 at O'Neill, Neb. and married Amos W. Scott at Neliegh, Neb. on Oct. 26, 1907. They homesteaded north of Ft. Laramie in 1914 and moved into Ft. Laramie in 1957. Mr. Scott died Oct. 6, 1964.
Survivors include a son, Frank W. of Ft. Laramie; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Marie Bromley, Mrs. Marjory Woodcock of Wheatland and Mrs. Myrtle F. Hardesty of Bellflower, Calif.; a brother, Bert Haynes of Ft. Laramie; a half-sister, Mrs. Leona White of Wichita, Kan.; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
