Kerry Lenore Sackman, 36, of Riverton died April 8, 1989, in Fremont Manor in Riverton. She was born Oct. 20, 1952, in Riverton to Kemper and Lois Sackman. She graduated from Riverton High school and attended the University of Puget Sound for two years until she was struck with Huntington's Disease at the age of 20.
She entered Fremont Manor in October 1983, after spending a year in a Denver nursing facility.
She was a nine year member of 4-H, earning several trips to State Fair where she won ribbons in speech and dramatization, safety, cooking and livestock. She was also active in band and speech in high school and was selected as the outstanding thespian her senior year.
Survivors include: three sisters and one brother; Mrs. Jana Eaton of West Chester, PA, Miss Deena Sackman of San Diego, CA, Mrs. Gail Crook of Lusk, WY and Kemper Lane Sackman of Jackson, WY and Anchorage, AK. Other survivors include two aunts, three uncles, and nieces and nephews and 14 cousins.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 11, at the Davis Funeral Home in Riverton with Rev. J. Holland Vernon officiating. Interment was in Mt. View Cemetery.
