Barie Lee Rumney
Barie Lee Rumney, 57, died June 5, 1997, at Southern Hills Hospital in Hot Springs, S.D.
Funeral services were June 9, 1997, at McColley's Chapel in Hot Springs with Scott Hotzel officiating. Burial followed in Minnekahta Valley Cemetery in rural Hot Springs, S.D.
She was born Feb. 15, 1940, in Lusk to Henry and Inez (Barnhisel) Kraft. She was raised and educated near Lusk, graduating from Niobrara County High School in 1958. She married James Rumney in Rapid City, S.D., March 13, 1959. Following their marriage, they lived on a ranch near Mule Creek Junction until 1988 when she and her family moved to a ranch in rural Hot Springs.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess. She will be remembered for her love of family, gardening, flowers, horses, outdoors and she especially liked to sing.
Survivors include her husband of rural Hot Springs; daughters, Holly and her husband, Andy Federle, and their son Max, of Harrison, Neb., Fara Rumney of Hot Springs, and Lark Tabbert and her husband Ed of Hot Springs; brother Don Kraft of Lusk; sister Thelma Freeman of Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob Kraft and one sister in infancy.
McColley's Chapels of the Southern Hills in Hot Springs was in charge of arrangements.
