William Herbert Rogers
Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Pfeifer, long time residents of Niobrara County, have received a notice of the death of Mrs. Pfeifer's brother of Washington, Illinois, William Herbert Rogers. Mr. Rogers was the eldest son of William Crawford Rogers and Julia Ann Rogers who homesteaded three miles west of Keeline, Niobrara County in 1913.
Herbert attended school in western Niobrara County and taught school several years in and near Keeline. After leaving Wyoming about 1936, he worked for the Caterpillar Tractor Company in Peoria, Illinois. He is survived by his wife, Lela, one daughter, three sons, two sisters, Bessie Pfeifer, now residing in California, and Mrs. Lucy Cox of Trout Creek, Montana and several grandchildren.
